- ➤ Charly Vera Valle, a Bay Area special needs instructor who lost his car after a scam, received a refurbished 2018 Mazda CX-5 Thursday through the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides program (which has donated over 200 cars). NBC Bay Area
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Californians can use DROP (Delete Request and Opt-out Platform) to request removal of personal data from more than 500 data brokers. The tool is available now but deletion processing starts on Aug. 1 every 45 days, with fines for noncompliance. NBC Bay Area
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Since mid-November, state health officials have reported 35 cases of mushroom poisoning and three deaths in Sonoma County and nearby areas; some patients, including a child, required liver transplants after consuming toxic death cap mushrooms that can be mistaken for edible ones. KSRO Radio
