COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Santa Rosa Police Department will host its third annual golf tournament for Special Olympics Northern California at Windsor Golf Course on Friday, June 12. Registration is open for foursomes, and all proceeds support inclusive sports programs for local athletes.  KSRO Radio
  • Santa Rosa’s safe parking program on Stony Point Road, run by Catholic Charities, will stay open through June 2027 after a last-minute $1 million funding boost from Sonoma County — the program now gives secure parking for about 50 residents along with meals, medical care, and housing navigation.  KSRO Radio

ECONOMY NEWS

  • January had a dip in passengers at the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport, but officials expect a record spring with a 30% travel increase next quarter. Southwest Airlines begins nonstop flights on April 7, and a seasonal route to Austin starts in October.  KSRO Radio
