BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Papa Johns will close 300 stores and lay off 7% of its corporate staff by 2027 as profits fell, leaving the Santa Rosa location off its online map. The company will shift focus to franchising and a fleet health overhaul to save an estimated $25 million over the next two years. KSRO Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After nearly a decade-long recovery, City Council approved a $4.7M contract to rebuild the damaged Hopper Avenue corridor linking Coffey Park and Highway 101. Local firm Argonaut Contractors will break ground this spring using PG&E settlement funds to add bike lanes and pedestrian safety features. KSRO Radio
- ➤ Santa Rosa commuters will see construction on Sonoma Avenue beginning March 9 as a three-month, $1.5 million project reduces lanes to add bus and bike lanes, installs new sidewalks, ADA ramps, and water upgrades while moving the Montgomery Village Transit Hub. KSRO Radio
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ U.S. News and World Report released its first Home Health ratings and named a dozen top North Bay agencies including five from Santa Rosa. The rankings — which evaluated over 12,000 providers on patient experience and care quality — offer families a guide for post-hospital recovery. KSRO Radio
