- ➤ A Santa Rosa nonprofit raised over $200,000 at its Crab Feed on Feb. 28 at The Backdrop by gathering 450 supporters and cracking through 2,000 lbs of crab to support vital services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. - ➤ Since 2024, more than two dozen foster care nonprofits have closed across California as the main insurance provider exited, prompting local agencies in Santa Rosa to worry that rising out-of-state premiums and lack of rescue funds (only $31.5M previously allocated) may leave vulnerable children without proper care for special needs.
