  • San Francisco-based Tidewater Capital purchased Sonoma’s historic Seven Branches Venue & Inn and The General’s Daughter for $3.2 million to cover bank loans and pay creditors while honoring 2026 event contracts at the West Spain Street properties; the deal is set to finalize within the month pending court review.  KSRO Radio
  • At Sonoma Valley Fruit Basket, Tortillería Ortuño debuted a mobile trailer that makes 3,000 corn tortillas per hour using traditional masa harina. Operating daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., the trailer has already found success in Santa Rosa by offering fresh tortillas at $3 per pound.  KSRO Radio

  • Sebastopol winemaker Akiko Freeman will receive the Game Changer Award (from the Asia Society of Northern California) in San Francisco on April 23 for her global impact on art and agriculture.  KSRO Radio
  • This month, Sonoma State University hosted its 42nd annual Art from the Heart auction, where 350 art enthusiasts gathered and over 100 works were sold, raising $22,000 for the campus art gallery to support upcoming exhibitions, artist talks, and educational programs — underscoring the vibrant local creative community.  KSRO Radio

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Southwest Airlines landed its inaugural flight from Las Vegas at Charles M. Schulz Airport with a ribbon-cutting celebration featuring local officials and a costumed Snoopy. The new nonstop service connects to Burbank, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Denver and is expected to boost regional travel and the local economy.  KSRO Radio
