Good morning, Santa Rosa.

A University of California study shows that high living costs are pushing residents from Sonoma and Napa counties, with Sonoma losing over 12,000 (since 2016) and Napa dropping nearly 6 percent as many seek homes costing about $400,000 less.

Construction begins today on a $37 million, 1,000-foot-long pedestrian bridge over Highway 101 — linking Coddingtown and Santa Rosa Junior College.

City officials said the project will remove a freeway barrier and finish by summer 2027.
