  • Over 390 residents signed a petition to save the French program at Sonoma Valley High after officials planned to cut the (40‑year) department for the 2026‑27 school year due to a teacher retirement, declining enrollment, and budget concerns. HEALTH NEWS

  • Casa Grande High School football coach Joe Mercado, 50, was diagnosed with a heart condition after feeling lightheaded on the field and now uses daily exercise to strengthen his heart.   • The former Bank of America building at 10 Santa Rosa Avenue, a 31,000-square-foot property vacant since the pandemic start, is set for an online auction starting June 1.
