- ➤ The Crozat family has carried on a decades-long tradition of giving by donating six cars on Thursday in partnership with the Auto Body Council and Allstate Insurance (with 319 vehicles donated to date). - ➤ Trader Joe’s will begin selling its new insulated mini-tote bags for $3.99 at local stores starting May 20. The bag, available in six colors, holds 1.5 gallons, has a zipper top + reinforced handles, and has often been used as a lunch pail. NBC Bay Area
- ➤ Medtronic will close its Santa Rosa operations by spring, 2028, affecting roughly 370 employees. The company will shift roles from its Fountaingrove campus to Southern California, Minnesota, and Ireland as part of a global restructure. KSRO Radio

- ➤ Sonoma County launched its free Residential Curbside Chipper Program for wildfire preparation by offering unincorporated residents up to two hours of complimentary chipping from Cloverdale to Jenner. - ➤ Officials in Windsor are directing staff this week to study whether exempting large retailers from a 2022 ban on new gas stations could allow a potential third Costco that may boost tax revenue and curb retail leakage (a change opposed by local environmental advocates). KSRO Radio
- ➤ Santa Rosa Police will launch the Click It or Ticket campaign from May 11 to May 31 to boost road safety by checking that drivers buckle up and secure children properly — reminding local motorists to follow state laws and the five-step test for older kids. KSRO Radio
