  • The Sonoma County Probation Department invites residents to shop local on its Probation Industries website where custom-built wood and metal products (including picnic tables, park benches and fire rings) are available to fund supervised work crews and vocational training.  KSRO Radio

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Fire officials warned that record-breaking heat in March has accelerated wildfire conditions in lush North Bay hills. Santa Rosa may declare a formal fire season mid-May, plus residents are urged to clear defensible space as agencies boost staffing and training ahead of summer heat.  KSRO Radio

  • Redwood Credit Union re-elected three long-serving volunteer board members for the 2026-2029 term. Debra Watts became board chair, David Gouin was named vice chair, and M. Christina Rivera will serve as treasurer.  KSRO Radio
