COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Finley Aquatic Center will open its new spray ground on Monday, June 16 with 15 fun spray features + two reservable picnic areas with tables and shade covers. The project adds to the center's two pools and shows a big city investment in community wellness.  KSRO Radio

CRIME NEWS

  • Santa Rosa Police answered a domestic violence call on June 11th in the 1500 block of Atlanta Court, where SWAT entered an apartment at 4:30 p.m. — officers discovered two 24-year-olds dead from gunshot wounds and preliminary findings indicate the incident was isolated — with no current public threat.  KSRO Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Monday, June 16, the Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport will host a mandatory FAA emergency exercise that simulates a large-scale aircraft incident; the drill will test emergency response and coordination among over 150 participants including the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office and Fire District.  KSRO Radio

SPORTS NEWS

  • Casa Grande High School’s football stadium will get a 2.5 million-dollar renovation that upgrades the bleachers, scoreboard, and press box—new fencing and storage space will also be added around the seating area. Construction will start later this summer and the upgrades will be completed by mid-January 2026—forcing the Gauchos to play home games at Petaluma High School this fall.  KSRO Radio
