- ➤ At the third annual Birthday Benefit Bash held on April 19 at HopMonk Tavern in Sebastopol, Redwood Credit Union raised over $31,000 for local youth music programs. The RCU Community Fund will support Enriching Lives Through Music, Chop's Teen Club Music Program and the Luther Burbank Center's Mariachi Ensemble with the proceeds. KSRO Radio
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A new COVID variant called Nimbus—nicknamed 'razor blade throat' COVID—may cause very painful sore throats and has been detected by doctors globally and at U.S. airport screenings including those here in Santa Rosa. Experts say the variant is not making people more sick and that vaccines are still expected to work well. NBC Bay Area
