- ➤ Two drownings occurred along the Russian River on July 14 when a teen boy drowned near Monte Rio Beach just before 3:00 p.m. and an incident in Forestville near Steelhead Beach led to first responders performing CPR on an unresponsive victim—witnesses also reported that a young girl was rescued near Monte Rio.
