- ➤ Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport officials are working to fill gaps left by Avelo Airlines after its departure on August 11th—officials say they are reaching out to Alaska Airlines for Palm Springs and Boise, talking with Delta Airlines to cover the Santa Rosa to Salt Lake City route, and considering United Airlines for Denver. They do not expect new routes to start until spring. KSRO Radio
- ➤ Sonoma County Regional Parks is inviting local residents to shape the future of Carrington Coast Ranch Regional Park and Open Space Preserve — a new 332-acre coastal property near Bodega Bay — by reviewing two draft models that outline trails, camping areas, and other park features. The public survey runs now through August 14th. KSRO Radio
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday, over 25 nurses and union reps held a one-day picket outside Petaluma Valley Hospital to protest heavy cuts to their work hours that they say break their contract—cuts they claim hurt patient care and force long-term nurses to seek other jobs. The protest highlights their demand for a return to previous work hours and stronger contract protections. KSRO Radio
