Authorities evacuated Salt Point State Park on Thursday, July 30 when the Woodside Fire burned 15 acres and closed Highway 1 between Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Rd and Timber Cove Rd. Firefighters deployed air + ground units to contain the wind-driven blaze in heavy timber.
A 4.3 earthquake hit northern Sonoma County Tuesday evening near the Geysers geothermal area roughly five miles southeast of Cloverdale.
Officials said a 2.5 aftershock followed with no injuries or damage observed.
