CRIME NEWS

  • A Sonoma Valley couple, Gilman and Barbara Parsons, were granted misdemeanor diversion on Wednesday and could have animal cruelty charges dismissed—if they meet court-ordered conditions over the next year. The charges came after authorities seized dozens of malnourished animals from their property in November 2023 and the couple agreed to give up two horses involved in the investigation.  KSRO Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Family members say that Hector David Azana Vega, an asylum seeker from Peru who lived in Sonoma County, was detained by ICE in San Francisco on July 25th during what was supposed to be a routine check-in even though he had a valid work permit, worked, filed taxes, and had health insurance. He has lived legally in the U.S. since July 2022.  KSRO Radio

SPORTS NEWS

  • Today, Mark West Little League will play for the championship in the Western Region Tournament after a three-nothing win over Scripps Ranch on Wednesday— they will face Central East Maui Little League with a 10 a.m. first pitch from Bend, Oregon set to decide which team advances to the Juniors World Series.  KSRO Radio
