- ➤ A firefighter was hurt when he responded to a house fire on Montclari Drive in the Rincon Valley area Monday — crews said the flames burned the home’s garage and attic and that electrical equipment likely caused the fire — while everyone inside got out in time. NBC Bay Area

- ➤ A once missing 15-year-old girl from Santa Rosa was found safe in Palo Alto last Friday after abruptly leaving the Santa Rosa Junior College Petaluma campus on July 22 and leaving her belongings behind, and she is now reunited with her family. KSRO Radio
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ When classes resume in less than two weeks, Santa Rosa schools will not have school resource officers due to budget deficits—police will patrol near schools and the district will start new civilian safety teams. Officials said they will seek outside funding to reinstate the officer program. KSRO Radio

- ➤ Santa Rosa-based Poppy Bank warned customers this week of the 'Godfather Malware'—a threat that tricks Android users by overlaying fake login screens on banking apps—and advised them to download apps only from official sources and enable two-factor authentication. KSRO Radio
