The Perseids meteor shower will peak tonight and Thursday morning, with Bay Area watch parties at Oakland's Chabot Space and Science Center starting at 11 p.m., Berkeley's Lawrence Hall of Science from 8 to 11 p.m., and Napa's Meritage Resort from 7:30 p.m. to midnight.

Families may nominate households online for future makeovers.
