- ➤ The Redwood Empire Food Bank settled a labor lawsuit by paying $575,000 to Dashawn Love, a former transportation coordinator who claimed he was not paid full wages and overtime and did not receive required meal breaks when he worked at the food bank from May to October 2020 — the lawsuit was filed in 2021. - ➤ Santa Rosa Police Department’s Missing Person Monday post features five people including two cousins missing for almost 10 years and Michael James Zevgolis missing for nearly 30 years—this is the third week of the campaign aimed at solving cold cases. KSRO Radio
- ➤ The Santa Rosa Police Department is stepping up patrols for Labor Day as part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign—additional officers will search for drivers impaired by alcohol, prescription drugs, or cannabis and a DUI checkpoint is set for August 22nd at an undisclosed location. - ➤ Santa Rosa Junior College Student Health Services and Students for Recovery will host Save the Youth at 6 p.m. Aug. 26 in the Bertolini Quad to honor students who died from fentanyl overdoses and to raise drug harm reduction awareness.
