  • Z Systems Inc. will move its operations from Vacaville to a new 47,000-square-foot facility on Todd Road in southwest Santa Rosa. The company, which currently has about 10 employees, said the move is strategic as it seeks more space to meet growing demand from Bay Area clients—its first step toward planned expansion.  KSRO Radio

CRIME NEWS

  • Chase Johnson, a paralyzed auto racer in his wheelchair, filed a lawsuit in Sonoma County Superior Court accusing Sonoma Raceway security guard Alexander Rosiles—who pushed him from his wheelchair during a NASCAR race on July 13 and was arrested that day for assault and battery—, Camden Security Company, and Garda World Security of negligence.  KSRO Radio

  • Former Santa Rosa mayor and police chief Tom Schwedhelm is running for the Sonoma County 4th District Supervisor seat in the June 2026 election—challenging Cloverdale Mayor Todd Lands, he said he has the capacity and energy to serve after leading the city through the Tubbs fire and COVID-19 pandemic.  KSRO Radio
  • Sonoma County is cleared of blame in the fatal fentanyl overdose that killed Amber Marcotte, who died in her cell in October 2020—a federal jury deliberated for two hours on Thursday and found the county and then-Sheriff Mark Essick not at fault in a civil rights lawsuit.  KSRO Radio
