The Sherpa and Nepali community in Sonoma Valley will hold a fundraiser on Sept.
22 at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Hall starting at 4:30 p.m. to raise funds for central Nepal disaster relief via the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund, featuring donated food and wine from local eateries.
🏥 Health
Rising costs have delayed the opening of the new Lomita Avenue health center in El Verano.
Originally slated for June and then September, officials now project the facility will open in November — extra funding is being sought to cover expenses that soared from under $50,000 to more than $200,000.

Santa Rosa’s oldest antique collective, Whistlestop Antiques, is for sale after nearly 50 years at Fourth and Davis, where 33 vendors showcase vintage items in the Railroad Square building (10,800 sqft).
Vendors may have about two months to clear out if the new owner repurposes the space.
