EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today at 4 p.m., the Sonoma Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees meets at Sonoma City Chambers to discuss a possible elementary school closure at Prestwood Elementary—financial issues and declining enrollment have prompted the review. The board may vote on a resolution to close the school at the end of the academic year. KSRO Radio
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Rohnert Park City Council will meet later today to discuss a proposed 14% water rate increase that could raise bills by an average of $9.10 per month starting January 1 if approved — the hike is meant to offset inflation and fund $42 million in repairs to the aging water system with further increases planned through 2030.
