- ➤ North Fitch Mountain Road reopens today at noon after years of closures caused by landslides and severe storm damage. County crews completed extensive repairs including installing gabion walls—new drainage was added to stabilize slopes against future storms. KSRO Radio
- ➤ Santa Rosa Police Department is now accepting applications for its paid Student Intern Program that gives college students hands-on experience in law enforcement, criminal justice, and public service. The internship lets students work in investigations, traffic, and community engagement—with applications due by October 23. KSRO Radio
- ➤ The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, October 14 at 4:30 p.m. to prepare for federal budget changes that may cut local services like Medicaid, nutrition, housing and education—Supervisor Lynda Hopkins said officials will develop a mitigation plan.
