- ➤ Fire officials declared the wildfire season over for our city today after weeks of cooler weather and rain lowered fuel levels; enforcement of the weed abatement ordinance has been suspended—shifting the fire department to a winter response model that requires fewer firefighters, and pile burning permits will be issued starting in November.
