Good morning, Santa Rosa. Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 2nd of December.

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Denny’s on West Steele Lane at Coddingtown Mall permanently closed, leaving Santa Rosa with only one Denny’s on Baker Avenue — the closure came weeks after private investors bought the 71-year-old chain in a $620 million deal; the new owners plan to shut up to 150 low-performing stores nationwide.  KSRO Radio

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The National Weather Service has warned that Bay Area beaches will face dangerous conditions through midweek—10- to 14-foot breaking waves and strong rip currents are expected along with risks of flooding in low-lying shoreline neighborhoods as king tides push water levels high from Tuesday onward. Gusty offshore winds are forecast to build in nearby mountains Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, prompting residents to remain cautious near the ocean.  NBC Bay Area
