  • New CSU data released Monday shows overall fall enrollment increased by 2%, yet international student numbers fell by 7.8% while local campuses including Sonoma State reported declines — officials say this trend comes amid a $2.3 billion budget deficit.  KSRO Radio

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Conservationists from The Wildlands Conservancy confirmed that 239 juvenile Coho salmon — the first sighting in nearly 60 years — returned to East Branch Russian Gulch today. The restoration work on stream channels and improved rainfall helped restore their habitat.  KSRO Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Sonoma County Supervisors approved a plan for a permanent memorial to honor the 2017 wildfire victims and survivors at Nagasawa Community Park in Santa Rosa. Renowned landscape sculptor Cliff Garten will launch a community engagement process in early 2026 to shape the design.  KSRO Radio
