Good morning, Santa Rosa.
🎓 Education
Santa Rosa’s Rincon Valley Union School District announced a negative certification because it faces an $8.5 million deficit that prevents covering operating costs for the next two fiscal years — the district will cut $4.3 million in spending, close one school, and seeks help from the Sonoma County Office of Education.
🏥 Health
Enrollment in Covered California plans in the North Bay dropped sharply as the region saw a 30% decline amid uncertainty over federal tax subsidies set to expire; if not extended, over 28,000 residents could face nearly a 90% jump in monthly premiums.
