- ➤ Santa Rosa City Schools is asking the county for $5 million from Measure O (the quarter-cent sales tax for mental health) to keep its student programs funded. District leaders warn that without the funds, 75% of mental health staff will be cut and six schools closed by spring. KSRO Radio

- ➤ 51-year-old veteran police officer Dack Thompson graduated from the intense 585-hour SRJC Firefighter Academy and is now cross-trained for fire response (a boost for Rohnert Park's Public Safety Department). HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Sonoma County health officials have launched an online dashboard to track high-risk drugs in local wastewater to alert first responders before hospital visits rise. The tool monitors substances at the Laguna Wastewater Treatment Plant (serving Santa Rosa and neighboring communities) and may guide outreach efforts. KSRO Radio
