Santa Rosa Junior College community grew uneasy when IT employee Jordan Mead was arrested for allegedly stalking Vice President Kate Jolley and sending threatening emails; he pleaded not guilty on March 27th, was remanded on $1 million bail, and remains banned from campus by a temporary restraining order until June 3rd while his preliminary hearing will be held on May 23rd.

Gas prices in California are predicted to rise as the refinery in Benicia and another facility in Southern California will soon close; experts say drivers in Northern California might pay up to $8.00 a gallon according to a USC professor.
🏛️ Government
On May 8, the California Highway Patrol unveiled a fleet of 100 specially marked 2024 Dodge Durangos to help catch reckless drivers statewide—blending manufacturer paint with distinct markings—and plans to use them as a new tool to improve traffic safety.
