- ➤ Betty Carr, the founder of Mom's Apple Pie, passed away on May 13 at age 95. Her sons remember her as a brave pioneer who moved from Japan in 1949 to build a local institution and now honor her legacy through community donations at Hessel Church in Sebastopol. KSRO Radio
- ➤ Nearly thirty police runners, joined by Mayor Mark Stapp, carried the Flame of Hope over five miles from Santa Rosa to Rohnert Park in a torch run for the Special Olympics. The flame was passed to CHP for the opening ceremonies as part of a year-long effort that raised $50K. KSRO Radio
