- ➤ Amtrak conductor Bruce Garrett settled a federal lawsuit—resolved last Friday in U.S. District Court in Sacramento—that he filed after a police officer fatally shot Sonoma County man Nicholas Detweiler on a stopped train on Christmas Day 2023, and the case involved Amtrak and Mount Shasta. REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Construction of nearly 800 new homes is underway in northwest Santa Rosa on a former dairy farm off Guerneville Road and Lance Drive, where crews began clearing the 34-acre site on August 7.
